Penny's
Profile

Penny Farrar has been a resident of Brevard County since she was just
five years old. Maybe that explains why she has such a strong commitment
to making our county a better place to live. Penny graduated from Titusville
High School in 1971 and then from Brevard Community College a few years
later. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration
with a major in Finance from the University of Central Florida in 1990,
and later earned her Certified Public Manager designation through Florida
State University and the State of Florida.
Penny has been married to her husband, Tom, for thirty years and has
two children and four grandchildren.
Penny Farrar has over 22 years work experience with the Brevard County
Property Appraiser’s Office and is currently employed by the Brevard
County Sheriff’s Office. She was a member of the Brevard County
Charter Commission for 18 months, from 1995-1996, where she fought to
help create a charter government for Brevard County that gave citizens
a stronger voice in local government. Penny had also served on the Titusville
Community Feasibility Committee and the North Brevard Hospital District
Board of Directors, and is currently serving on the Parrish Medical Center
Women’s Advisory Board.
Penny believes that we can have good government. That we need to built
good government at the local level by electing candidates that are both
qualified and dedicated, holding them accountable for doing the job they
were elected to do.
